Out of my comfort zone

As long as I can remember I have avoided drawing a lot of attention to the lower half of my body. I've seen people of all shapes and sizes rock boldly colored pants, but I never thought it was a trend I could pull off. When I saw these dark red corduroys at Forever 21, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and give it a try.

I've had these pants for a few months and, much to my surprise, they have  become one of my favorite wardrobe pieces. They're super comfortable and warm.

Outfit:
Pants: Forever21+
Shirt: Old Navy
Cardigan: Old Navy
Belt: Thrifted from the Garment District
Shoes: Target

Now that I've got a little experience rocking the boldly colored pants, I am really coveting these green skinnies!

  1. I know how you feel. I was always shy about wearing bright colors or prints, or skinny jeans becuase I wasn't a size 2, but I've come to realize it just isn't true. Anyone can wear skinnies, and anyone can wear color and prints!

That being said, I love these pants on you! The bright pant trend really grows on you, I've been wanting a pair of green pants for a while now too. ^__^ You look totally adorbs!

  7. I just stumbled onto your blog today- and I have to say that this post outlines exactly how I feel! I have always been less than confident with my lower half, and tended to only buy dresses and skirts- since fitting them is just so much easier (and cute too!) I took the "pants plunge" with a pair of gap skinnies, and now I'm obsessed with them!
