Sunshine and bare legs

It's snowing this Saturday morning in Boston, so it's hard to believe that just 48 hours ago it was a balmy 65 degrees out. Thursday was a beautiful spring day, so I celebrated by ditching the tights and going bare legged.

I've had this skirt for what feels like forever. I can't actually remember when I bought it, but I think it was my freshman year of college, so about 6-7 years ago. It's one item that always fits even when my weight fluctuates, and I'm still finding new ways to wear it. I think this is the first time I've tucked a shirt into it.

Outfit:
Shirt: Old Navy
Cardigan: Old Navy
Belt: Forever 21
Skirt: H&M forever ago
Flats: Target
Necklace: a gift

Do you have any pieces in your closet that are over 5 years old, but still get a lot of wear?

  1. i feel bare legged weather coming upon me here in minnesota too and i'm just not ready yet! :) i love the teal color of that skirt, i don't have too many things in my closet that are that old because i had zippo style in college. but that skirt is a great, it's good that you've hung onto it!

  2. Cute! This skirt looks great on you and I love it with the polka dots :)

I definitely hang onto clothes for a long time, and I have lots of items that I've had for over 5 years that I still wear regularly :)

  3. Love this skirt! I'm going to a conference in FL this week and can't wait for the 80 degree weather and sun!! (It's been in the mid40s and rain here in Portland). I'm soooo not going to want to come home. Haha.

  4. That's a great skirt! I actually have a yellow rain slicker from Gap- Spring 2000- that I still wear EVERY time it rains. I think that's pretty impressive. Everytime I wear it, I'm like, "Man, this coat is OLD!"
