Uninspired

I don't take blog photos very often these days. To be honest, I don't have an excuse. I just don't feel motivated by it like I used to. I still enjoy reading blogs, and I still love shopping, but I just haven't been feeling inspired to step out of the box with my outfits. No crazy color combos or pattern mixing for this lady as of late.


In short, I've been feeling uninspired. Maybe I need to seek out some new blogs to read, or maybe I need to hit up pinterest again. I'm not sure.


I'm reaching out to you for help. Who/ what inspires you? Help me break out of my rut!

    I don't think you need crazy colors or patterns to document your outfit on your blog! Some of my favorite looks from my favorite bloggers are the casual, everyday outfits. That said, I know what you mean about feeling uninspired. Sometimes it helps me to browse through Pinterest to find ways to wear items I already have - or to flip through catalogs from my favorite stores to get ideas. It also helps to clean out my closet and take note of what I have/need/don't want.

    My style interest seems to ebb and flow...sometimes I feel like putting effort into my outfits and other times I just want to reach into my closet, grab & go. I don't think that's a bad thing -- it's just life. But if you are feeling stagnant, what always works for me is getting new accessories...a necklace, a bag, something that takes a little thought to fit into my existing rotation kind of wakes up my creativity.

    I get in a style rut sometimes too...I think everyone does! Sometimes it takes reading blogs, browsing Pinterest, or just buying some new clothes for me to feel inspired again.

    For me, summer time is typically a fashion slump. It's just more difficult to get dressed when it's stokin' hot. Going through my closet helps - sometimes I'll find something stuffed away in the back that I'd forgotten about.
