Foliage and Shopping

The foliage is absolutely beautiful in New England right now! In my walk to the train or bus in the morning, I just want to stop, sip my coffee outside, and take it all in. This past weekend was mostly sunny, so I made sure to enjoy the many parks in my neighborhood and take in the foliage.

What better for a walk in the park than a comfy pair of jeans, a tshirt, an over-sized cardigan, and some loafers I've had since high-school?

I took these pictures during my weekly scramble to find shopping something to do to get me out of the house while Mike watches every football game ever on Sunday.

Outfit: Jeans- F21+; TShirt- Old Navy; Cardigan- Vintage Men's, thrifted; Loafers- Naturalizer circa 2004
This Sunday? I went to not one, but two Marshalls. After trying on every pair of booties in my size between the two stores, I bought some nail polish, a pepper grinder and some gummy dinosaurs. Success?

  1. So adorable!!! :) Love this outfit. I love the over sized cardigan. Ha-ha and your day to get to do whatever you want- being a football fan its like I have a one day weekend to get shopping and errands done because Sunday is dedicated to football!

  2. I love Marshalls! And any shopping trip ending in gummy dinosaurs is a win in my book :) You look so pretty in green and the leaves look amazing as a backdrop!

  3. I totally agree about the foliage here right now, it's so rare! Love your cute green cardi. And that is one of the reasons why I love Marshalls... if you can't find a good outfit to buy, there's always some random items like a pepper grinder! :)

  4. I love the green cardi with the stripes! I can never find anything good at my Marshall's...I think other Marshall's must be much better than mine!

    1. Some are better than others. There are four that I can get to easily on transit and they're all different.

  8. Ugggh, I think we've been having the same problem with those silly booties! It's crazy how hard it is to find a cute pair that doesn't hit at a awkward place on the ankle or is super tight. :P
I love these pictures of you, you look so cute and relaxed! (Your hair is gorgeous.) This is such a cute, relaxing outfit, sometimes a great pair of blue jeans says it all.

  10. I love your green sweater! It looks like the perfect sweater to lounge around in all day, even better if its paired with a good movie and some hot chocolate :p

I'm jealous about the way fall looks for you all. I'm in Texas and our fall looks like spring, with a hint of a breeze. No autumn leaves, no oranges and browns. What I would give to take a picture with a background like yours!

You remind me so much of a friend I have here. She makes the same facial expressions and talks the way you do :p

    1. I feel your pain. I grew up in South Texas and I definitely missed the seasons. I'll be jealous of your weather in March when it's gorgeous there, but still winter here.
