Fuzzy

I would have liked to celebrate my blogversary with a fancy new camera, but that wasn't in the budget. Instead, I treated myself to a new tripod that is small enough to fit in my purse. I had high hopes that I'd be able to rig it up in my office and take some indoor outfit pictures. My office has great natural lighting, but not a lot of space so the pictures didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped.

They kind of remind me of the early days of taking blog pictures in my bedroom.

Outfit: Sweater- H&M similar from Old Navy; Skirt- Target; tights?; Boots- Me Too; Necklace - thrifted
In my defense it has been beyond frigid in Boston this week. The thought of taking off my coat (and hat, gloves, scarf, legwarmers, two pairs of socks...) for pictures is just too much to bear. Taking fuzzy pictures in a fuzzy sweater will just have to do for now.

  2. The color of your top is so pretty! I don't blame you for taking indoor photos. It's so cold I can barely be outside, let alone stand and pose for photos!

    1. Right? Unfortunately it's small and has to stand on another surface or be wrapped around something, but I'll take what I can get!

  5. Love the mint sweater, and that skirt is so pretty!
Do remember to be careful with super light tripods, you wouldn't want your camera to take a tumble. (been there, and it cost me two weeks sans camera and $300)

    1. Thanks for the tip! I have a cheap little kodak easy share right now that is virtually indestructible. I'm hoping to seriously upgrade soon though, so I'll have to be super careful with the new tripod after that!

  9. Boston sounds cold even if I've never been. But I am sure, under all those coats and covers Boston girls must be stylish like you are! Looking well put together, dear!

  10. Ugh, I' with you, some days the thought of going outside and losing the coat is just very unappealing. :P

Your office does have great lighting though so that seems to be a win! I love your skirt, the high waistband with the flared skirt is stunning on you and the combination of the minty green sweater and the black is so striking. (That silver necklace is gorgeous! It brights up the whole look!)

    1. Thanks Katie. I feel like such a wimp, when you take photos outside all the time. I blame the fact that I grew up in the south.

  13. haha, everyone is running to take indoor pictures because of the cooold! I can't say I can relate, though, because it's 60 degrees here. It will get colder though, I'm sure.

I love how from your skirt down it's all black. So sleek!
