It's no secret that I hate working out. I make excuses all the time. I'm too tired, it's too cold, my hip hurts, etc. I am a little embarrassed to admit that I'm paying $60/ month for a gym I haven't been to since before Thanksgiving. When I start my new job I'll work and live within two blocks of my gym, so it's going to be a lot harder to make excuses. I'm always looking for new ways to keep myself motivated. What better motivation to work out than some adorable new colorful workout clothes/ accessories?

I just canceled my gym membership. I hadn't been since October, and twice since I met my boyfriend in August. I'd like to get into a better routine - lucky you're living two blocks away! I'm going to try to do more at home but...um, we'll see. :)
ReplyDeleteI thought about canceling, but I did the year contract, so I'd have to buy myself out. I'm determined to make up for the two montsh I paid for without going by going A LOT in the coming months.
DeleteI love the target line! I just got one for $41 a month and I am determined not to let that go down the drain! but let me say, I hurt a lot today.
ReplyDeleteI think nice new clothes definitely help with motivation, so I'm right there with you :)
ReplyDeleteYes, good/cute workout clothes help me stay motivated! :)
ReplyDeleteUgh, I haven't been running ever since the weather got cold, it's no fun in the winter time! Serious kudos to you for going for it though, that's so nice being able to live close to gym like that that. (And cute workout clothes do help, they make it a little more fun.)
ReplyDeleteHaha, that card is priceless.....
I can't imagine running outdoors when it's below freezing, let alone below zero. Living close to the gym hasn't helped me thus far, but I'm going to be better!
Deletethe last picture is a killer, I love it! had me laughing so hard

i hear you, lady. i use any excuse i can, too. it's late, there's someone already in the work out room (in my apt), it is going to take a long time to make dinner, i need to run errands. it is hard to reframe your thinking to make working out a priority. i am trying to work on that and wish you luck too!
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you too! I'm thinking I might report on my progress once a month or so on the blog to hold myself accountable.
Deletesuch fun colors!
ReplyDeleteI HATE working out as well...but it makes it a littttle better if you have a cute workout outfit :)

My thoughts exactly. If I'm going to be miserable I may as well be wearing bright colors and listening to an awesome workout playlist.
DeleteI despise working out. That last quote is so funny and so true. It reminds me of those weight loss infomercials and how they always use people with six packs, it drives me crazy, haha!

You mustve read my mind! Ive been promising to join a gym for the past month and have yet to do so. My excuses are the same as yours. We will power through and become active!
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to this. Pushing myself to work out is difficult for me too. Presently my motivation is my shoes! My goal is to tear it with workout!!!!!! So I can buy a new one.... I know, it sounds wierd, but yeah, I've decided to buy new trainers only when I wear out the ones I'm using now.... :D :P
ReplyDeleteI'd totally love it if you visited my blog too dear!
