I am so thankful that the storms we had last week didn't knock all of the beautiful fall leaves off the trees. I'm just not ready for the grays and browns of winter, at least not when I can have fiery yellows, oranges and reds! I couldn't help but stop and have Mike snap some pictures of me in front of these beautiful trees on our way home from Haymarket Saturday
I love this skirt, but I always forget about it. I think I only wore it once last winter. It's too short for work, even with tights on, so it gets relinquished to my "weekends only" wardrobe. And let's be honest, I'd rather wear leggings or jeans on the weekend than a skirt. While I loved this outfit, I think next time I'll tuck in my shirt and belt the skirt.

I have a couple of weekend only items, and I am always forgetting about them as well. I love the skirt!
ReplyDeleteI like that skirt on you! It would look really cute belted too :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute skirt! Sometimes I forget about my non-work items too, mostly because by the time a weekend comes around, I'm too tired to think. You look cute as always! :)

This is such a cute skirt. I hear you about weekend only items, and sometimes when the weekend comes I just want to be comfy and not dress up in a skirt/dress. BUT sometimes its 110% worth it, like here! I hope you get the chance to take more outfit posts!

Yay for weekend only skirts! The outfit has a fun, preppy sense to it, it must be that skirt with the boots! (And the gray cardigan is a great little pop of lighter color.) I'm just marveling at the trees there, there's still green leaves!
ReplyDeleteI have a few items in my closet that are "weekend only" clothes so join the club! Its a really cute skirt and it looks good on you. Maybe next time pair the skirt with red tights! That would be fun!!!
ReplyDeleteI really love this skirt on you! Such a gorgeous print. I definitely have some weekend only skirts too :)

i hate that work wardrobes occupy more of the closet than weekend ones - it's just so unfair.
ReplyDeletehope your skirt gets to come out more this winter!
That skirt is just too cute; I love it. But, I have similar items that I love but don't wear to work. I try not to have too many though; I'd like my closet to be versatile, but they do sneak in there.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your blog so I have nominated it for the "Liebster Blog Award' which translates to favorite blog award! Visit my blog for details :)

The plaid skirt is really cute for fall! I rarely wear skirts on the weekends too, unless I'm going out somewhere fancy. Have a great weekend, Tashia!

Have you thought about buying one of those cute extender slips? I've seen them on etsy and added them to my wishlist, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Maybe because I keep thinking I should DIY it...
ReplyDeleteSomething like this, but maybe not eyelet, might make your very cute plaid skirt long enough to wear on workdays. Then you could wear it more often!

Something like this in black might work better (it'd be less fussy than the eyelet double flounce deal)
