Saturday Mike had a ton of homework to do, but we went out for dinner anyways. Since I had plenty of time to get ready, I decided to do something I almost never do- curl my hair.
We headed to Brookline Village with the intention of getting some Japanese or Latin food. Due to long lines and restaurants that didn't look like what expected from the Yelp reviews, we ended up at Village Smokehouse, a Texas style barbecue restaurant.
Outfit: Dress- Dorothy Perkins; Jacket- JCrew (thrifted); Boots- Madden Girl |
I loved it. The food was delicious, and it felt like Texas. The whole date just felt a little bit country, in a good way! I don't know if it was the curls, or the combination of boots, an A-line dress and a denim jacket. Maybe it was the fact that I had watched the first episode of Nashville earlier that day, or maybe it was just the country music and barbecue.
Cute dress! And I love that you two go out to eat once a week - we try to do a weekly date night and it's so fun to get out of the house and sit across the table from each other :)
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Getting out of the house together is so important!
DeleteYour hair looks so pretty curled! We try to have a date night once a week too :)

I love that dress! And I love when I have time to get real dolled up! You look so cute :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I love BBQ. Every Friday night we (including Sean) go to the tiny BBQ place in town. No one is ever there. The food is amazing, and the banana pudding is to die for. It's my favorite part of the week!
Banana pudding? Yum!
DeleteLOVE this entire outfit, including your curled hair. You look so pretty! Oh I'm glad that you liked Village Smokehouse, I've heard good things, but have never been.

Oh, you look lovely with your hair curled like that! (I'm so awful, I don't even own a curler/blow dryer, I'm that lazy when it comes to my hair. It's amazing I even brush it!) This is just the cutest outfit, the colorful stripes of the dress really pop under the denim jacket and the boots are fantastic! and I like the little bit of bling on your arm. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm typically very, very low maintenance with my hair. Day to day I don't even brush or comb. I run my fingers through it and occasionally pin it away from my face. There are just things I'd rather spend my time on than making my hair look amazing.
DeleteYour outfit is perfect for some bbq :) That dress is so cute, and your hair came out great :)
